"Confucianism-Law-Culture: An Interdisciplinary High-Level Forum" was successfully held

On 29 June 2021, the "Confucianism-Law-Culture: An Interdisciplinary High-Level Forum" was held as scheduled. The conference was co-organised by the Institute of Rule of Law and Culture of the School of Humanities and the Chinese Law and Culture Research Association of the Beijing Law Society.

At the beginning of the conference, Cui Yunhua, Director of the Institute of Rule of Law and Culture, School of Humanities, China University of Political Science and Law, opened the forum and delivered a speech.The keynote speeches were delivered by three teachers: Liao Kebin's speech was entitled "The Model of "Ritual and Law" in Ancient Chinese Society from a Multidimensional Perspective", Ren Feng's speech was entitled "Ritual and Law in the Great State: A Ritualistic Interpretation of the Tradition of State Governance", and Liu Zhen's speech was entitled "Ritual and Law in the Ritualistic Governance of the Chinese Society in the Book of Yi". In addition, three professors, Ma Xiaohong, Wang Xinzhu and Jiang Xiaomin, gave their comments. In the subsequent free discussion session, the experts and scholars participated in the discussion actively and expressed their views enthusiastically. The closing session of the forum was concluded by Professor Chai Rong from the Law School of Beijing Normal University.

In the context of the Opinions on Strengthening the Construction of Socialist Rule of Law Culture issued by the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council, this interdisciplinary high-end forum was guided by the Opinions and aimed to "promote the creative transformation and innovative development of the excellent Chinese traditional legal culture", with Confucianism as the theme of legal culture, which provided a broader academic vision and deeper theoretical exploration for the study of Confucianism legal culture through interdisciplinary dialogue and exchange.
