The seminar Exploration and innovation in language research was successfully held on 10th October, 2021. Experts attending the seminar are from China University of political science and law, Peking University, Fudan University, Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University, Communication University of China, Hebei University, Capital normal university, Changshu institute of technology. Each speaker gave an excellent and enlightening speech in their own research area, including rhetoric, social linguistics, experimental phonetics, forensic linguistics and syntax. Attendants exchanged their ideas, supplied their own corpus to support or test others' proposals, and every topic was fully discussed in an open and friendly atmosphere. This seminar gives a platform where scholars with different backgrounds can talk to each other face to face, and promotes the development of interdisciplinary research on linguistics.
