The Logic Institute was founded in 2002. It used to be a part of the Philosophy Department of the School of Political Science and Public Administration. It is a member of the Chinese Society of Logic, and one of the founding members of the Beijing Society of Logic (北京市逻辑学会) and the Chinese Society of Legal Logic (中国法律逻辑研究会). There are currently three professors and three associate professors in the Logic Institute. With rich teaching experience, they focus on different branches of logic and can provide sound logical training for students. In recent years, our teachers have presided over and completed a number of projects in humanities and social sciences founded by the National Social Science Fund of China, Ministry of Education and CUPL. Their academic achievements in the fields of legal logic have great influence in the academic circles. Logic Research Institute is currently responsible for the training of postgraduate students majoring in logic and jurisprudence. Teachers of the Logic Institute also provide different courses for undergraduate students, such as Introduction to Logic, Critical Thinking, as well as several elective courses on logic for law and philosophy majors.
