The center was established in October 2013. Professor Shang Hua is the deputy director of the center (Tel: 13120475399; E-mail: hshang103@163.com). The studies in the centermainly focus on forensic linguistics in a narrow sense. The center is committed to integrating the relevant forces in the field of forensic linguistics and evidence law, providing a platform for the exchange of well-known experts in forensic linguistics and evidence law, and conducting researches both on language and evidence theory, and on forensic linguistic evidence analysis and certification.Through the discussion and researches on forensic linguistic evidence analysis and certification, the center plays an active role in judicial practice by establishing the database of forensic linguistic evidence and building a consulting platform for forensic linguistic evidence analysis and certification to provde consultation service to the society. The center highlights both academic research and practical application, and attaches importance to the transformation of scientific research results into practical applications. The center will establish cooperative relations with foreign research institutions.
The aim of the center is to standardize linguistic evidence analysis and certification methods, improve relevant systems, and safeguard judicial justice through theoretical research and practical work.
